This talk is a take on internet security, in the context of internet connected devices and web applications. We will see how easy it is to find vulnerable connected devices and applications, and how even unskilled hackers can build huge botnets, and compromise websites and steal information. The talk will also look at how we can do better, and ensure that the future of the internet is more robust than the past.

Rob Pritchard is a cyber security expert with more than 17 years’ experience, Rob is former deputy head of the UK’s Cyber Security Operations Centre and is Associate Fellow of Cyber Security at RUSI. Passionate about the topic, he regularly comments on cyber security issues for the media.
